The Woodlands is made up of distinct Villages that function as their own little towns.  It is all about community and convenience! Each Village is unique with its own shopping centers, public schools, pools, parks and trails.  Homes range in value within each village. – There’s truly something for everyone here in The Woodlands, TX!

The Village of Grogan’s Mill: Known as “The Front” of The Woodlands, this village was the first one in The Woodlands in 1974.  With quick and easy accessibility to I-45, Market Street, and The Woodlands Mall, and home to The Woodlands Country Club, Grogan’s Mill has all your dining, shopping, and entertainment needs at your fingertips.  Generally, the houses are older and the lots larger.

The Village of Panther Creek: Opening in 1977 and located on the west side of Lake Woodlands, Panther Creek is also considered to be in “The Front” of The Woodlands, this village is a close second in proximity to I-45 as well as some of the best amenities The Woodlands has to offer.

Town Center: Known as the “Downtown” of The Woodlands, here you’ll find most of the entertainment, shopping and dining – The Woodlands Mall, The Water Way, Market Street, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and The Woodlands Waterway Marriot and Convention Center.  Town Center is home to urban living at its finest.  Whether you’re looking for a loft, townhome, condo, or apartment, Town Center is the place to be if you’re looking for city living.

East Shore: Appropriately named due to its location on the east shore of Lake Woodlands, East Shore is nestled between Research Forest Dr. and Woodlands Parkway.  One of the newer areas to develop within The Woodlands it offers luxury lakeside living close to Town Center.

The Village of Cochran’s Crossing: Located in the middle of The Woodlands, The Village of Cochran’s Crossing is often referred to by residents as “The Heart” of The Woodlands. Home to Bear Branch Park, The Woodlands High School, The Woodlands Country Club, and Palmer Golf Course, Cochran’s Crossing is THE central location of The Woodlands.

The Village of Indian Springs: The smallest of the villages, Indian Springs is nestled just south of Woodlands Parkway.   It gives residents a peaceful, secluded feel with the convenience of its central location on the south side of town. Indian Springs is home to two of the iconic private schools in The Woodlands - John Cooper School (k-12) and Interfaith (pre-k).

The Village of Alden Bridge: Opening in 1994, Alden Bridge is one of the newer villages in The Woodlands.  It is located on the northwest part of town and home to the Alden Bridge Sports Park. Whether you are looking for a home, townhome or apartment Alden Bridge has it.

The Village of Sterling Ridge: Known as “The Back” of The Woodlands, Sterling Ridge is one of the newest villages and continues to grow. It opened in 1999, at which time The Woodlands was celebrating its 25th anniversary. Here you’ll find a range, from condos to townhomes to complete custom homes.  It is one of the last villages left to build in.  Sterling Ridge is home to the Gary Player Signature Golf Course and the exclusive gated community of Carlton Woods and its Nicklaus Golf Course.

The Village of Creekside Park: Creekside is currently the newest development in The Woodlands beginning in 2007.  Six years later Creekside Park continues to grow!  While most of the area between Gosling and Kuykendahl is built out, Creekside continues to expand west of Kuykendahl into Timarron.  It is a great area for those looking to buy a newer home. There are plans for a village shopping center to be built and Creekside is home to the 20 acre Rob Fleming Park and Aquatic Center as well as the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. Creekside is the only village south of Spring Creek, located in Harris County and zoned to Tomball I.S.D.

The Village of College Park:  College Park is appropriately named for being centered around Lone Star College, the University Center, and SHSU The Woodlands Center. A large portion of this area of The Woodlands is made up of businesses and dining. The largest community in College Park is Harper’s Landing which is the only area of The Woodlands located on the east side of I-45.  Windsor Hills and Windsor Lakes are 55 and older active adult communities off College Park Dr./242.   In this village you’ll also find College Park High School and St. Luke’s Hospital.
